I am struggling to find a replacement fuel injection pump at a reasonable price. Can anyone help please?
I have a model 80 Amazon VX 4.2 TD manual that the pump I have been told cannot be refurbished. It sat for 8 years and has water damage in the pump effecting the governor. It ran but then would not rev up properly.
I cannot find a second hand one or is it really not repairable? I need a second opinion can anyone's help me as I am stuck!
Cheers

I am still struggling to get a second hand or referred Injection pump. nI have spoken to the people who have stripped the pump and the shafts are so pitted that they are not useable the housing is even pitted from standing water and perhaps the use of chip fat in the past. PLEASE anyone i need to find a replacement. The vehicle is not worth spending out on a new unit and i need the vehicle up an running asap. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers...

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the info. I cannot find that seller on e bay and have searched for him but it is not coming up Sad
I have contacted all the breakers of land cruisers on e bay with a message for the fuel pump but cannot get one either. These are very very hard to come by. I cannot afford a new unit and the vehicle doesn't warrant a new one as its a bit scruffy unfortunately and the cost of a new one is so far out of my price range , they are ridiculously expensive!! Are there any other places you may know of? I have tried Gary at the 80 breakers, he has the 12 valve pumps but not the 24 valve ones. I have also sent Bob at RVS in Swindon some pics and he is unsure as the main shaft was soaked for ages and hardly turns. Its a drive to drop it off to him in Swindon but he is unsure if it can be refurbished due to the fact that it is so stiff etc.....
Anyone with any help or ideas, i would be so very grateful.
