hi,
i'm new here, and would like to ask your advice as to the most common cause of a wobbly gear stick in a 2006 model landcruiser.
its all over the place in an otherwise good jeep. it doesn't pop out of gear or anything, but has huge play in it though.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

If its an auto, there's a thread on Prado point on how to repair it yourself, it can be done very cheaply, if yours is a manual sorry i don't know but someone will! |

Hi there, just noticed your post and can on firm that my LC5 has developed the same issue
Stripped out the centre console and discovered that the gearlever is a two part item and it has worn out the rubber joint between them.
Seems there's no Mr T repair kit, just a new gearlever
Hope this helps? You could try some of the suggested bodges but I fear they'd be a temporary fix lasting weeks only?
Off to Mr T in the week to price up a new lever |
