Indy from Nairobi Kenya. My problems started after an engine wash a couple of months back, that evening the car switched off while driving 3 times but would start again, however, the next day it stopped and refused to start. A vehicle electrician came the next day and as a temporary measure shorted some wires on the computer and it started. He later checked the fuse box and said some relays had shorted and there was some rust in the fuse box wiring which he had repaired. It worked fine for over a month but it has now started playing up again, the car works fine and never stops on the road, however, sometimes it will refuse to start after switching the car off (the check engine does not show up on the dash). After fiddling with wires around the engine, unplugging/plugging the computer, fiddling with connectors around the diesel pump and doing more of these crazy random things and playing with the car alarm system the check engine light may finally decide to show up again and the car will start.... until the next time it decided not to. It's driving me crazy... Any ideas??
