I've been a Volvo owner for a few years now.  Started with an 850 estate which was great.  Then I bought a V70 which for the last 6 years has been nothing but trouble.  I'm pretty mechanically savvy but the fuelling problems and clicking suspension have got me beat.  Several garages can't even find where the clonk is coming from!
So a couple of years ago I took a hankering for a Land Cruiser after reading about their legendary reliability.  I guess if it's true then this forum won't get many posts!

So at the weekend I bought a 2003 LC4 with 110k miles.  It looks fantastic inside and all the panels are dent free and scratch free.
I took a mate to look at it.  He knows his way around a Land Rover so first thing we did after checking out the exterior was to have a look underneath.  Not great news as the chassis looks a bit flaky.  So I got the price down a bit more (it was already pretty cheap).
So I guess I I'll need to get busy in the Spring with scraping, welding and rust protecting.  I plan on keeping this for a while!
