Hi All. Any thoughts on what needs to be done on a cambelt change on the 3.4 petrol engine currently having 138000 on the clock. Toyota say just do the belt, and although it is a non interference engine it may pay to  do more while we are at it.

Depends how tight your budget is. The tensioner and idle pulley add about $60US each. The tensioner should easily last another go, the pulley should easily too but then again things happen but if i was going to do one it would be the pulley. If pulley starts running offline the belt will come off
