Folks, (2002 100 Series VZ 4.2Td 158k)

I have been researching the shuddering issue (which I have!), the gearbox has recently been rebuilt by a local specialist, which caused me to start the investigation into the shuddering issue featured elsewhere on here and other places.

I have decided to have the box removed and get the torque converter off and either repaired or replaced.

Question:  Can anyone recommend a good organisation to approach to look at my converter?

Thanks all

this is a well known issue - and I believe is because of a plastic washer on the torque converter that perishes (the replacement ones have a metal one instead)

My LC had it when slowing from speed to a stop, you would need to select it to neutral to stop the shudder

I had mine replaced a while ago by Julian at Overland Cruisers - he sends them to a place in Bristol I believe

It took a day to do!!!!!
