Hi folks
I have a LC 100 4.2 TD 2006, A few weeks back my cruiser went down on the rear, checked for leaks and no fluid leaks anywhere but found that the link arm on the rear sensor was broken so got new one and changed the link arm. for a week the car was fine then went down again. thought it may be the sensor, so got it back to the right height and disconnected the wiring plug to the sensor. Ran the car for a week no problems, the OFF light was flashing on the dash, then just the other day it went down on the rear but the sensor is not connected so don't understand why it went down.
I've searched the forum for answers but can't find anything with the same problem.
Any help appreciated. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon 4.7 V8 Active(Gone)

It sounds like you need to get it plugged into a fault scanner, or there is a way to do it via the diagnostic plug under the bonnet, jumper wire between TC and E1, but I have no idea what the codes are, so you need to research more. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

Thanks for the reply Andy, I take it the jumper wire is used as a reset. The code reader you mention is it the intelligent tester, the one under the bonnet doesn't look like and OBD socket. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon 4.7 V8 Active(Gone)

No the jumper wire is a basic fault code read, the connection will flash a light on the high low panel, you count the flashes for the code, but I cannot find any info on the way you read the codes, maybe it's in the workshop manual. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

Hi Andy
An update on progress of the suspension. I tried the jumper wire and got six fast flashes all on the low side but as you said I couldn't find any codes for the flashes either. When I fitted the new link arm I adjusted the suspension when the engine was running and have since found out you confuse the system if you do, so that's problem one I caused my self.
I watched a video on You Tube how a guy took the cover off his rear sensor and cleaned up the insides and his worked ok so decided to do the same as a precaution and have found the sensor has had it's day. the insides have corroded away. there is three wee copper coloured springs inside the unit and the middle one is completely black, so I've ordered a new sensor. Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks a lot for the information very much appreciated. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon 4.7 V8 Active(Gone)

Hi Andy
An update on the suspension, I have fitted a new height control sensor on the rear and the car rose to the normal height straight away when the engine was started. the rear is a 1/2" higher than the front. it has been a week now and the suspension has behaved perfectly.
Many thanks for the time you spent finding out some info for me it was very helpful.
I've got my suspension fluid now so that's the next job. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon 4.7 V8 Active(Gone)
