Alarms not going off

I renewed my batteries recently Reconnected the positive terminals first but when attaching the negative terminal the horn and alarm go off I have to disconnect the terminals but the factory alarm stays on for seven to ten times I have tried this with the vehicle locked and unlocked but I encounter the same problem each  time My Toyota D4D has two batteries Can anyone help out

Could be central locking is out of sink , try connecting batteries again and while the alarm is sounding then unlocking drivers door with key  and then use the remote to press the unlock button ,

As Tony, but is the battery in your fob good ? Also, and I'm not taking the  pi55, there are several other connections on main battery + nearside, did you bolt those back on when you reconnected the new batteries ?

Karl, if you're out there, was this a scenario with Benny, that we tried to sort out ?
