Brake lines themselves are not difficult to replace, it is the clips that break off on awkward places that will leave all but the most patient of people frustrated.  The old ones often break or round off, getting the pipes bent at the correct place also more aggravation.  I tried here in Spain to get OE formed pipes but they were not available, so be prepared to purchase a roll of brake piping, this will mean you will need a flaring tool and the correct fittings, then of course you need to do some practice runs to make sure you get the right flare.  Unless you have done this before I would consider looking for a garage that restores old cars, brake line replacement is often part of a restoration, even as a mechanic after replacing the pipes on an old Cortina I wished I had given the job to someone else!

Regards

Dave
