After much searching I've eventually found the right car at the right price, a 1999 Colorado, which I pick up tomorrow. Overall it's in decent condition,  it's had a bit of welding but is crying out for an underbody rust treatment. Can anyone recommend a garage in the north east who does this? Thanks.

I strongly suggest avoiding the shops that just spray a whole pile of tar/waxoil or even raptor on all the underbody.
looks tidy but they literally cover everything. bolts, rubber boots, lines..
those treatments have also the big issue of letting rust carry on under the sealant unseen.
best treatment I have found is lanolin based product, lanoguard is very good, Buzzweld has their version of it, a lot cheaper, that seem to work really well. you spray it on, takes about 20 minutes for the whole truck and no problem working on it in the future.
