Hi folks

ive got a couple of hard workin/worked 60s which could do with a new home....doesn't have to be elsewhere but they need a realistic owner....

Hi, I have been lurking on the forum for a time to learn about Landcruisers.
I am looking for a 60 series for a "project".
But - I want the 61, with the turbo engine and must be automatic as well!
Condition of bodywork doesn't matter.
I know they are rare in the UK, but if anybody has one or hears of one for sale please let me know.
Thanks
Steve |

if you are interested, I have a Toyota HJ 60 , with the 4.0 d engine, with manual transmision..
The car is in Romania, is in a good state and is 5000 euro. I can bring the car in UK if you are interested, but first, you should come to see it and to drive it.
Best resgards.

Your best bet is to get an importer to bring one in from Japan but they are becoming scarce.
Most of the Japanese models were auto.
I had an australian model which are nearly all 5 sp and a faster than the autos
The parts for 12HT engines are nolonger availble new ,except things likrebuild kits and maintenance items.
The are also aftermarket turbo kits for the non turbo 2H diesel. They are not as powerful as the factory turbo and you cant use the turbo for as long but many owners are happy with them.
Or a 12HT will fit straight into a HJ60 with little modification if you can find a good used one(not easy)
IMO you would be better off with a turbo diesel 80 series. _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier

I've decided that I must keep the HJ60 only for me , but I have a problem....I need suspension for it.
I thought that an Old Man Emu or Ironman suspunsion kit it will be the right thing for the car, but here, in Romania I can't find a distribuitor for that kind of stuff.
I have some friends in UK that can buy it for there, but they cannot manage to find a dealer...
Can you all give me a clue ( web page or adresses where they can find the wright thing)?
Thanks a lot, Tavi |

The rear springs are the same as BJ/FJ/PZJ/HZJ/70/71/73/74 pre 1990 if it helps. Fronts are 60 series specific _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier
