Further to my query on the petrol 80 GCX I have seen in SA, a guy is going to have a look at it for me - needs new tyres and who knows what else - keep you posted on it.
If I do get it, I'll probably sell it once we are done with it, unless anyone would think it would be worth keeping there, and renting it out to guys that want to do a bit of Africa but don't want to drive all the way. The local 4x4 rental is stupid (R1000k per day excl insurance).

Does anyone think that would be sensible to do?? It would need to be on a sensible rental system - like I'm not going to recover you in a sand dune in Namibia - if you rent it you look after it as you would your own vehicle. Expecting fancy recovery/100% reliability would make it an unreasonable option.

Just toying with the idea at the moment - if no-one would be interested I will just sell it again for R20k less than I bought it for Smile still a damn site cheaper than the rental option...
