Hi guys

I have stopped getting e-mail notifications of replies to posts. I have checked my profile and the little dot is in the yes spot.
Am I doing something wrong Question
As far as I know, nothing has changed on my computer but it does do microsoft updates automatically.

I thought no-one had been on for a week and when I looked there were masses of posts.

Les,

Check your spam settings to make sure the notifications and not going straight into your deleted items folder.

What can also happen is, servers that send out bulk email (such as this one) get Black listed by ISPs and reject the mail before it even gets sent onto you.

I would say contact Admin (Simon) but, you might have to wait until Christmas for a reply.... Christmas 2010 that is  Wink

I'm getting the updates so the server is sending them out. I would put money on the Spam filter dumping them in you junk email folder.

What email client do you use or do you just use web based email.

Yes they are getting sent out but Les's mail provider may be Black listing the tlocuk mail server.

Easy way to check this is if Les posted the bit after the @ of his email (NOT full email address) and then ask someone here with the same to see if they are receiving them.

Good Idea. Some of the providers are a bit over zealous - Hotmail is generally OK as is Yahoo but some others are way to efficient.

Cheers for the reply guys

I went into my profile and ticked no then saved, the went in and ticked yes again and saved.
Since then I have had two fresh notifications so I reckon it was just a hiccup in the system.

I use Windows Live Mail and Sky.com for my address.

I checked the deleted folder and the junk one but there's nowt in them. Perhaps it was a hiccup
and not a failure at my end.

I'll keep my eyes on the posts and see if I get all the notifications now.

Could be Sky blocking the email as has been said. Give it a try by using your Windows live email address as the address on this, you may find it's OK with that.
