I was looking for a newbie section yesserday when I took the opportunity to sign up & introduce meself.....

I've just got hold of a very rusty but otherwise sound '89 LJ70 project vehicle for running round the farm, pulling horse boxes and generally misbehaving! Due to the need to tow it'll be a mostly stock restoration but I'm open to advice on making it a bit more hardcore without losing the useability of it

It's my first foray into the world of 4x4 since making the mistake of selling my '91 LJ77 when I left Malaysia in 2001.

Since then I've had to make do with a '94 M5 so I'm looking forward to be able to choose town or country mode of transport when I'm going out to play!!

Originally from Ealing, W London, but now living in South Western France and working in Budapest - for the next few months at least!
