I have a 2001 Landcruiser Amazon VX. 4.2 Diesel Auto :

there seems to be  a lot of Vibration on the High & Low Gear Stick ( H & L)when the engine is running. The vibration increases with high engine revs.

Is this normal ??  Crying or Very sad

There is no vibration on the auto gear stick selector ( P. R. N .D ) etc..

Can anyone help?

Regards
EJ

The high/low stick is connected by a solid rod to the transfer box, so will always vibrate and move when accelerating or deccelerating.

I rest my hand on the gear shifter, as the range lever is to far away!!

There was a mod on the 80 series diesel for this problem. I know because I had it fitted & it cured all the rattle. I don't know if there is a mod for the 100 series. Maybe check with your dealer.
