When I try to log onto the Internet I regularly get a message saying "Internet Explorer (not responding)" I then have to close down the Internet and try to log on again, but this can go on for a long time with out any success. Has anybody got any ideas what causes this and is there a cure?
Many thanks in advance for any advice
Roy

ok,well, not responding errors usually mean you're running out of memory. are you running lots of things when this happens?

I only really use my PC for browsing the Internet, but Irecently had another 512mb of ram installed. This problem was occurring before that was installed though, thanks for taking an interest by the way

IE is just generally a rubbish browser, try using firefox, just google firefox or mozilla and you'll find it free to download - much better IMO

Hi Roy

Have you checked that the net is up and running?
as you get a error message when the connection is lost !

are you direct with modem, or are you wireless?
