I have the usual 265/70/16 on my Colorado, been offered five almost new 235/70/16 for peanuts, i reckon they will fit ok but will they be safe for me to drive about on?
W reg 2000 5 door Colorado 3.0td

The difference between the 265 and the 235 tyres, will equate to -126.67mm (-5.4%) so at 70mph you will be doing 66.22 mph

Hi
I think they will look a bit too skinny.
Even the normal 265 look undersized, so if you looking to put 235 on, then maybe not a great idea.
256 = width of the tyre in mm on the standard rim.
265 - 235 = 30mm, so the 235 size tyre is 30mm narrower on a 2 ton vehicle.
