Has any one used slime tire sealant in there LC? Or any other tire sealant. I am just wondering if is worth the money.

I've used it on tyres that arent wide enough for the rims, -
i have a set of 7.50 R16 tractor tires on 7 inch wide rims, when theyre supposed to be on 5 - 5.5 inch rims.
in order to fit them we put tubes in and used tyre sealant.

is it that your airing down to low psi's , is that why your interested in the sealant?

usually on modern rims sealant isnt necessary, unless the rim is buckled or dented and is giving issues

This stuf I'm talking about is to minimize flat tires from puncture. As a kid we used it in our bicyle tires.

It makes tyre balancing difficult, tyre shops will hate you because of the mess when they change a tyre and it doesnt always work.

I prefer to carry a some tyre plugs and a good compressor

IT does make balancing difficult. I get mine balanced first then add the liquid afterwards.  Rand the last set 50,000 odd miles no punctures. I use the agricultural stuff.

I sold last set of tyres to a friend after i up sized - took me about 5 mins a tyre to rinse out all the residue, really easy.  Gave him a few bottles of it too to use after he fitted the tyres once again.

Here in P.N.G. On the highlands highway there are several places you Don't want to get a flat. Its amazing what can happen in the time it takes to change a tire. Its also an election year so the roads will get very ruff and dangerous. I carry an aircompreser, so pluges and slime sounds like a good addtion.
