Somehow some damn adware has got onto my computer.

Now and again it fires up using Internet Exporer to try to get me to download anti-virus and spyware blocking software. Sadly at times it also open up windows trying to get me to play poker or access porn  Sad

I have the lastest and uptodate Norton Protection Centre programme installed but when I run a full scan it does not pick anything up  Crying or Very sad

Is there anything that I can do to locate this adware programme and kill it off  Question

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Norton's a total waste of time, get AVG it's free , go to google & get version 7.5 from grisoft's site.

AVG, is good. and Spy sweper.
I hade same poblems while ago. It my be very hard to get it out.
What kind of software they asking you to buy.

I also run Ad-Aware SE Personal inconjunction with anti virus software, specifically to avoid the problem you are encountering. It works; does smart scans and updates regularly and it's free.

I downloaded the Ad-Aware SE Personal and it did a great job in clearing the rubbish off my computer.... thanks everyone for your advice  Very Happy
