2000 Landrcuiser Colorado.

I have a problem (i now find) with the electrics on a car i bought three months ago. The batteries are not charging. I discovered this when it would not start yesterday morning. starter turned but not enough to get going.

Got a jump, all seemed fine. Drove for an hour and just at the end of my journey (fortunately) several unconnected warning lights came on on the dash (handbrake, ABS, Transmissiom and others). Radio stopped working and I limped into the parking area.

No life at all in the batteries, when i tried to start the engine.

Here is the learning part for me. NEVER TAKE BOTH BATTERIES OUT AT THE SAME TIME.

I did this to hook them up to battery chargers (good six hour charge). What it caused was I presume, the immobiliser to kick in. Anyway the starter motor turns but does not start the engine. The indicator lights are permanently on. The windscreen wipers wont turn off.

My problem is that the key fob I have is obviously not an original. It is a key and buttons incorporated single unit. Making me think it cannot be the Master Key.

I now have a vehicle I cannot start.

Please can anybody give me some guidance om what to do next please!

Thanks
