Hey folks, Good forum ye have going here. Just want to know where are the official jacking points on a SWB Colorado. Would anyone have any ppics of places to jack the jeep up and where to put axle stands. Ive a 3 tonne jack and ideally want to jack up both the front and back in the centre and then place 2 axle stands either side, but where abouts can I put the stands, want to get the jeep up high so as to clean underneath. Thanks in advance for any helpfull replies |

From the post, I will presume you havent got the owners manual.
To jack up the front, I used the lower arm mounting to the hub, then placed an axle stand under the mountings for the wishbone on each side.
To jack up the rear, I used the centre part of the rear axle casing, then placed an axle stand directly under the turret top mountings, as close to a main link as possible.
Officially, the car should be jacked up using the chassis flat points, marked underneath, but I have no jack that can reach that high, the only thing that did was my 2 post, 4 arm lift.
For use with stands & a trolley jack, the points as mentioned above served me fine.
I will try to scan the page from the manual if I get some time.
Hope this helps; welcome to the forum. _________________ Regards, Chris.
