Hi all,my name is Shaun, just got our first colorado 3.0d 1997 lwb, bought the motor the other day as now selling our BMW 330d due to not having any teeth left due to the no suspension they come with.so far the motor is very good it's smooth and doing same mpg as the BMW. Looking at getting some new tyres for it as their low on tread, any suggestions welcome on make and size, currently on 265/70/16,I live in Holmfirth so will be wanting to have a play 😃.would like a nice abar if any ideas where from.thanks in advance.
Been on the e46zone forum for years now and found it very helpful and got to chat to some good lads on there, had a look around and found this forum, look like a friendly lot hope I can get to know some of you and get some help and give it if I can, don't think that will be much to be far as you all seem to know your stuff. |

I, and a few of my mates, use Cooper Discoverer AT3; in the 265/70R16 size you mention.
They are a great priced, all season tyre, that have coped with as much mud, snow, gravel, grass, rocks, streams & tarmac that we can throw at them.
Come with 18mm of tread & 55K mile guarantee. Run near silent on motorway, dont struggle with wet tarmac or standing water and brake great.
I paid £108 each, inc VAT, fitting & balancing, earlier this year. Total bargain in my view.
Down to personal choice though; a lot recommend BFG AT; these wont be for sale for much longer, they dont reach the dB environmental noise limit that is soon to be applied; the Coops do though.
PS Welcome to the forum & enjoy Landcruiser ownership!!! _________________ Regards, Chris.
