diesel 4.2 turbo, 1991.I'm pretty basic when it comes to mechanical things but I do have a good bag if spammers and patience. I have a diesel fuel leak from the link mechanism on the piece next to the block(I think it's the pump). Is this something I can fix myself or is there a refurb/rebuild kit anyone knows of? All help appreciated.

Is it from the top or the side of the pump?

If it is from the top of the pump where the accelerator linkage connects to the pump then you will need to get the pump out.

If it is from the side of the pump it may be from the cold start mechanism which you may be able to do yourself with a good manual and an experienced hand helping you.

Hi Julian,

If it's the cold start mechanism, are any new parts required or is it just a case of taking apart, cleaning up and rebuilding?

Oliver.
