Hi all,

We have a 2004 LC120 with standard tyres and want to do a little greenlaning hence I'd like to fit some tyres with stronger sidewalls, looking at some cooper st maxx tyres (http://www.coopertire.co.uk/tyres/off-road-4x4/summer/discoverer-s-t-maxx) but hey don't sell them in the 265 75 17 size.

What sizes have you guys go upto with standard suspension - mines the LC5 with the air suspension.

Thanks in advance.

I run 265 70 r17 BFG All Terrains. They occasionally just rub on full lock on uneven ground. I'd be wary about anything larger. Also they just about fit the spare wheel carrier, but mine is on the back door, I think yours is underneath. I think the BFGs are great, but I know they cost more than the AT2 and can also have supply issues.

I don't think you can get AT2 tyres any more.

I'm glad I bought six.  (I have two spare wheels, and swap the two spares with the two fronts from time to time - As the fronts wear faster than the rears, I'm expecting all six tyres to wear out about the same time)
