Hi guys I'm going to look at an amazon this week what is the difference between the import and uk version? Is it that imports have better body due to warm weather in japan? The one I'm going to look at is import and has the equivalent of just 80k miles one owner.
Thanks |

I have a 2000 HDJ101 VX Limited, which has not got the following, rear difflock no electric seats (Only lumber support) opening rear windows and third row seats, it has leather but no heated seats or heated mirrors, not sure if this year has electric steering Colum but I don't have it.
When you say that the body should be better that depends when it was imported, as they use volcanic dust instead of salt in Japan that is better, but the corrosion could set in if the vehicle has been in the UK for some years without any treatment. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

Hi taz, having imported a few vehicles from japan the most important thing for you to check is the auction sheet and the japan dereg document. These will clearly show it mileage, if there is not one I would walk away.
The jap do look after there cars but depending where it has come from can do a lot of miles and be really hot or really cold. I have seen really good looking cars with really high miles. Unfortunately low life's will clock these and loss all of the paperwork .
They do not under seal there vehicles either, to get it done properly will cost you £300-400 over here. Only thing I think they have extra to the uk spec is a cool box in the arm rest but I am not sure of that, quite new to cruisers myself. But I have looked at quite a few in the last year. |

I would not have thought £40 quid would be enough to buy the product?
I have seen it done where the whole underside is steam cleaned, then allowed to fully dry in a heated garage so not to trap the wet. Then the car is masked off and the under seal is sprayed on using lots of different attachments to make sure all the nocks and crannies are covered.
My amazons under seal is something else, they must dip the whole underside of the car? Very thick. When I first got mine I gave her a good clean and under the rear wheel arches was solid with dirt. I have had this on other cars and it will be the first place rust shows. I cleaned it all out and had a look, the under seal is intact and looks like new, it would never come off! Definitely built to last |
