After a conversation with Scotspea, I've started adding 2stroke mineral oil to the diesel, at 440ml to 90ltr, I've just towed with it in the tank and found the engine much smoother with the power improved, its a bit early to see if the mpg has improved but there's a definite all round improvement. Anyone else on here using it?

I use 2 stroke, especially when towing.  I'm not sure it makes that much difference, but doesn't seem to do any harm.

I've used it for a few years on and off, 1:200, which is about the same ratio as you. Not all the time, mainly due to laziness, but if I'm towing the caravan a long way I use it religously, and make a point of using it every few fills just in case!

Anyone find anywhere cheaper than morrisons?

Again after taking Scotspea's advice, i bought 5 liters off flea bay for £16-17 delivered, a couple of cheap measures from a quid shop and hey presto, oddly enough I've not used the LC properly for the last few weeks but i honestly think its better. Next tip please Scotspea  Cool

Dragged the caravan to the lakes with two stroke in the tank for the first time yesterday engine was defiantly quietr than normal.

Looks like I'll run it that way all the time now.

same here bookend, it seems so much smoother and quieter, not sure if its improved the mpg though, does anyone know if it will it pass an emission test with the 2stroke oil in the tank?

You will find the test results are far better than the previous years results once you use 2T
