Sorry if this is repeated but did a search and couldn't find anything.
I have a 2005 LC5 which needs new rear shock absorbers.
After many trips to Toyota due to one side of the car being lower they put it on the diagnostic machine and despite it coming up with errors they insisted nothing was wrong with it. We took it to a recommended garage who said it was probably the rear sensors but on inspection it is actually the rear shock absorbers that need replacing. Actually only one side.
Question is we have been quoted £557 to replace one side. Is there a generic make that is cheaper and is it worth going down that route and should both shock absorbers be replaced or just the faulty one.?
Thanks for any help.

Your LC5 should have 'Active Height' Gas strut shock absorbers.

Neither Milner 4X4 or Roughtrax stock them I'm afraid.

It looks as though you will have to go to a Toyota Dealer for them unless anyone on here knows of an alternative supplier ???

Your 'LC5' is, of course, a '120-Series' and it seems that suspension problems are not uncommon.

Have a look here:
