Hi all,

I have a 2001 50th 100 and I'm trying to read a fault code using a wire in the under bonnet diagnostic connector but I don't have anything in the TE1 connector hole, is there another way of getting access to the code?

It does also have an OB port but nothing I have will touch it.

Any advice?

Regards
CJM

Use the OBD port under/next to the steering wheel. Looks like an OBD2 port, but it is t0yotas own M-OBD.
Either use TechStream on a PC, with an adapter; or use the FSM and look up how to link two pins for getting Blinking Codes. Very handy. You can find lots of info on this in other forums, e.g. Mud.

It's arrived and works a treat, the fault I had was throttle closed switch contact showing as always closed, I unplugged it and plugged it backs and hey presto it works fine again.

Can you tell us more about the scanner you got, or a link to it.
