Hi all,

I was wondering if removing the Catalytic converter on my Toyota Landcruiser 4.2TD 2000 will cause any problems?
I read somewhere about O2 sensors sending wrong readings to the ECU but depends on the Vehicle make model.

This car i have is in Africa and they don't have any rules on emissions. Its just that my mechanic suggests we remove it as he feels it is clogged up.

All your help will be highly appreciated

Check that the thing you think is a cat is'nt just a particulate filter, there should be no wires or sensors to worry about. I have just done mine with a shiny replacement straight through down pipe  Very Happy

I removed mine with a straight (Toyota part) pipe,
Never caused any issues on MOT's etc....
