I run mine between 35 an 40, 40 can get quite harsh on rough roads, but might improve your MPGs and how long they last.
And a related question on BFG A/T tyres.
How many miles are people getting on a set?
I bought a set of 5 about 60k (I'm going to check this to make sure I'm not talking rubbish!) miles ago and they are still looking fine for another 20-30k miles.
Are others getting this sort of mileage out of their tyres?

Not too clear on the figures but without doubt BFG's A/T will last a lot longer than Toyo open country I presently have, BFG's are my first choice on any 4 x 4 but I just could not get them at the time.

35psi is about right.
I've had a set of BFG since 2008 and the rears still have loads of tread, having done over 40k miles already. But beware the tyre walls will probably perish before the tread wears out. On the inner walls I have discovered some cracks and a hairline split all the way round in inner wall close to the rim, so just replaced them with newer ones. _________________ 1997 HDJ80

It's quite common to get excellent mileage from these tyres, makes them an economical buy when you factor in the use you get from them, I've used these for getting on 20 years, but I've never asked if anyone gets similar performance from other brands. For me they have been the default tyre, ( even on LR products) so, any comments about other makes? Be good to have an alternative, when towing I favour 40psi, but solo 35 ish seems comfortable for me.best regards to all, Bill Westley _________________ 94 VX auto, lift and stuff, winch, inter cooler, BFGs,

Ats 35-40psi depending on your preference.
Muds 28-30psi will last longer. |
