Has anyone used Milners air filters? if so are they OK or is it better to use Mr T's originals... |

Milners bits are made for a price so you don't always get the very best quality. However, their stuff is a lot cheaper than Mr T.
If you are planning to cross the Sahara Desert, stick to the best. However, for a daily drive into Manchester, Milners filters are probably fine.
Cheap filters either clog up fairly fast or do the opposite and let all sorts of very fine particles through. It's hard to say which will happen with Milners filters unless you get some checked in a lab.
Since a clogged filter will (literally) throttle the engine performance, you might get an idea after fitting one by the way the car drives.

Just get a K&N - one filter for the life of the car (just wash it every several thousand miles) and not much more than Mr T's. Often help with power and economy aswell _________________

is there any risk in running without an air filter temporarily?
the intake is in the wing on the lj78
am interested to see if it runs any better
it had a pattern one at the last service, might go for a k&n - is that what you use Jim? |

What ever you do, don't run a K&N style filter if driving in dusty environments or if concerned with longevity.
They provide better air flow by having bigger holes so let in more fine particles - not such a great problem for street racers but if driving along dusty gravel tracks or playing in N. Africa your engine will suffer greatly in the long run. _________________ Cheers,
