I have just purchased a 2001 Landcruiser Amazon VX.
the under body is very pitted with rust .
Is this vehicle known to have a rust problem on the chassis . Sad

When you say underbody, do you mean the actual body itself, the frame (chassis) or the axles ?

The axles and chassis frame are very pitted the paint on the axle has flaked off.

Unless it's been in the sea, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. They only came with a bit of black paint on the frame and axles, and this lasts about a month.

I've never seen a rusted out one, but you can always use a bit of waxoil to smarten it up a bit.
