Hi all

I have gone and done it and have to say very happy with my 55 plate lc5 Full Toyota history covering 110k of the 114k on the clock.

I have 2 questions I am looking for help with.

Will 265/65/18 tyres fit the car in std format obviously with different rims ? I have a full set of cooper AT3's I would like to use.

Has anyone shortened the gear lever ? I am thinking if it was 4-5 inches shorter it would look a lot more attractive in the cab.

Thanks

I don't think they will fit without major body surgery

I run 265/70/R17 BFG ATs. No mods. The spare wheel is a very snug fit on the back door. No rubbing for the wheels fitted to axles.

According to a random tyre size calculator I found this equates to 31.6" diameter. Which is exactly the same as 265/65/18.

I stand corrected.  If they do come out the same size as a 265/70 x17 then they should be fine if you can find suitable rims.

Cheers guys.  Only recently made the change so still getting to grips with the brand. Will hilux and landcruiser the same PCD and offset ? Seen some 18" hilux wheels that are wide enough to take the tyres.
