I have a 98 Colorado that I love and since we had problems with the old Passat my wife has been driving it all the time and she loves it. But as  the LC is a bit of an old darling I don't want her using it all the time and the fuel economy is no good. So as we need two cars I was thinking of getting an around 2010 Forester diesel as it still has a bit of 4wd up high thing that she likes and I've always fancied a Subaru.
Just wondering if you guys have any experience advice about one of these.

Bit late I suppose but they are surprisingly good although the diesel is pretty gutless.
I had a petrol XT Turbo which was fast and treated ice and snow like it wasn't there but I didn't take it seriously off-road.
I think they are based on the Legacy saloon chassis.
I never got more than about 22mpg although the guy who bought it off me reckons he gets 25+.

Watch out for corroded alloys they leak air badly.
