|
|
Called Admiral on Monday to get a quote on adding the LC to the current policy.
We've got an Avensis Estate insured with them as well, at about £900 p/y for fully comp.
The quote that came back was £700 odd, to add the vehicle to the current policy, for fully comp insurance and a bunch of the other perks which would make my wife happy if we ever broke down...
So - does that sound about right for everyone else here (£700 odd), or is anyone getting fully comp insurance cheaper elsewhere?
What irks me is that after a few years of this, you're starting to hit the same value as the car, which just feels plain wrong... Bloody cabal!
Any thoughts? |

Sounds as though they are ripping you off, we have our Amazon through them at £338 with a Merc E220 added for an additional £325.00..... _________________ 2004 4.2 Landcruiser Amazon |

Go compare time, I think
Seriously, these days you really need to use the online comparison sites to get quotes without automatically renewing with your existing provider, as for these guys it seems that LOYALITY = Sucker. |

Thanks all.
That's tomorrow night's job
@joinerman - should be pretty good profile -> no priors, no claims, no accidents, old enough to have driven for 20 yrs, and living in a decent enough place. Think it's down to loyalty factor, so defo worth seeing what the other providers come back with.
Will report back, should be interesting. |

Went with Adrian Flux in the end. £600 all in which wasn't that bad. The person on the end sounded like a jobsworth with a target to hit, but then again don't expect much more for car insurance.
Lancaster didn't return the call after the online quote.
MFU didn't like the location (London), seems they are geared up for more rural folk!
Budget car insurance wanted £2,5k.
So that's that for now. Will be interesting to see what the premium increase is after the mods start... |
