Hello all,
I have a 2003 LC4. I have had trouble with the power steering. My mechanic told me the pump was gone. I got a new pump and he fitted it. Only a slight improvement. He now feels the pump is not getting enough fluid from the reservoir and hence cant build up enough pressure. Toyota want €293.97 for the new reservoir, which is crazy as the pump was €220. Two questions for you all.
Has any one had similar trouble and what was the outcome and how much did it cost. Secondly, I watched a you tube video of a guy opening up the reservoir and cleaning out the gunk from the filter system contained within the reservoir. Has anyone done this. It seemed fairly straight forward, but things rarely are.
All and any advice greatly accepted.
