Couple of quick Qs.
Stupidly, I drove down the lane to my farm and forgot to turn the radio off. Result? An overhanging shrub twanged my aerial and
whilst it still works, being kinked, it longer fully retracts. I know I could get a similar/generic replacement but here's the Q. Has
anyone successfully replaced a telescopic metal aerial with one of the bendy, flexible, rubber versions? I listen to the radio alot
and I'm bound to forget about shrubs again, so it makes sense to go with a flexible aerial which'll just ping back if snagged.
I'd be interested in whether the radio reception is compromised by using a flexible, rather than a telescopic aerial.

Second Q.
Unrelated to the above, my radio has decided to override the pre-sets and I'd like to use a "restore factory settings" option, if
one exists and start from scratch. The reason (I think!) the radio did this was because I swapped out the battery recently.
Anyone know how to do a restore factory settings this with the standard Amazon radio? It's a Type 1 LMU radio - 117006 in the handbook.

Hope someone can offer some tips.
Tx.
Rory
