Hi There forum after a bit of help. The top mounts on the rear shock absorber have rusted through and both shocks are loose. The mounts seem to be welded to the chassis.
Does anyone know if there are any replacement mounts that I can buy and get welded back in place please..

This is a 2001 KDJ95 5 door

TIA for any help and advice..

KRs Bedge...

Do you mean the hole has rusted through and become too big for the rubber bushes/washers and they have pulled through?

Would have thought anywhere that does welding could fabricate a patch to re-drill for the shock top bolt?

Hi Dave thanks for the response. I thought the area was a more complex shape than just a plate and hole. I'll have another check..
Cheers,
Bedge..

It is more of a cup at the top - which is a bit stupid as it's A) hard to get to nut and b) does collect crud, hence probably why it's pulled through....

But fabricating a replacement wouldn't be very difficult for anyone who's into welding....

You can get at the top mountings by removing the rear carpet and then the bungs in the floor.
