Hi, I'm a newbie and I just sold my Defender 110 to return to the Landcruiser family (I've had a FJ40, 55 and 80), and I'm looking for a 70 (LC II?) 4-door 3.0 TD. Any advice out there? Such as - should I stick to the Japanese imports? Any typical problems to watch out for? Any 4x4 stores that carry parts for LC's? Cheers! |

Thanx sputniknet... Well, I finally got a '94 KZJ78 4 door Prado, so I guess this should be posted to the Prado forum page... but I'm done with Land Rovers, now it's time to put it to the off-road test. I've read a few posts about trying to find owner's manuals, but it seems to be a difficult item to find, any ideas out there? |

This is still the correct place to post regarding your 78. The name Prado was used on these models from 84 in Japan ,where as countires like Australia and South America didnt use that name until 96 with the introduction of the 90 series.
Oz called them Bundeera's and S America called them Landcruiser II

Yours should be the same as a 1KZ TE without the electronics.
The 1KZ engines share a few parts with the 1HZ and 1HD T. _________________ 1995 HZJ75 troop carrier
