i have wrote on this topic before and haveinformative answers to my questions, but here's another ..after i got fed up with the height being too high and the low setting light not moving or going back to low when it was highenough to bounce everyone around in the car i suddenly found when it started i had a normal height setting for a moment and took out the 50 amp fuse in the engine compartment that pertains to the height control ..although the light flashes on the dash for "off"  i can live with that ..i wondered if there will be any long term effect of not having it working within the ECU..  i only use the car for short periods if not towing and it sits on the drive for a week when i'm on shift..(works vehicle usage)
....anyone  with advice before i take it in for a height sensor replacement ...it had one 3 years ago as per the service history..don't last long if thats the case.....
