|

I can't find in my handbook the Amp Hour rating for this vehicle, I've probably missed it, so could someone please tell me what page this advice is on, or what Ah I should have.
I've just removed a couple of old batteries for charging, neither of them fitted the battery bay - small by an inch either side, widthways.
Is this normal, or should I have a bigger lump in there??
Thanks in advance for any info.
Cheers,
Paull |

Depends on who you ask.
I asked a dealer last November, they looked it up and told me something like 2x 70 Ah, and that they don't sell the bigger ones anymore.
Originally they come with two 105 Ah batteries.
The battery listings from Varta & (what was the name) show 2 x 95 or 100 Ah.
When choosing a battery for starting, the most important figure is the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) which is, more or less, how much juice you can draw for a short time. A good figure would be at least 800 Ampere, giving 1600 A with two of them. The Ah (Ampere Hour) rating is important particularly if your cruiser won't start, or you need to use a bit of juice when stationary.
I've seen that 90 to 105 Ah batteries from several manufacturers fit the trays, and are available as a pair with opposite terminal positions. _________________ 2004 HDJ100 AHC Auto 160'km, ex 2000 HDJ100, ex 1997 HZJ80GX Africa edition. |

Thanks Nor.
You'd think it would be in the handbook! |
