as luck would have it I am 1600 metres up the french Alps -- having an impromtu Ski holiday (loads of snow)
the cruiser performed peerlesly in midly challenging conditions
however I cannot find snow chains for my size tyres 275/70 16" -- even a Toyota specialist half way up the mountain does not have them in the correct size
to late for this trip -- but does anyone know where I could get them from in the UK
Cheers |

Just buy the bits and put one together yourself. The tool you will need anyhow, for maintenance. _________________ 2004 HDJ100 AHC Auto 160'km, ex 2000 HDJ100, ex 1997 HZJ80GX Africa edition. |

Have just braved the weather to go to my garage, and the snow chains are the rubber type with metal studs in them, also they will only fit a 265/70/16 or 15 and a 31/10.5/16 or 15, so they probably wont fit.
If anybody else is after some give me a shout. _________________ It's Not a Bl**dy Jeep it's a Landcruiser

You might check out commercail vehicle dealerships as they could put you in the right direction for small commercail size tyres chains . MAN springs to mind.
There are two main types ladder and diamond pattern depending on how much you need to use them.
Or have plenty of coffee money handy .
I think you need to check it out , but I think you can only chain the rear axle due to the way the Yota drives .
If anybody can comment on this .
I remember on trucks waiting till the last minute to put them on . Usually when you can read the writing on the side of the trailer in the wing mirrors confirms this time . Then thinking what a pratt , just remember to keep them tight and check them regularly for wear and broken links .
Ohh and enjoy the moment . |

Do a search for RUD or Pewag snowchains , you should or could buy them here years ago Pewag was my choice then in a diamond pattern if you had to get on . |
