I've been the keeper of one in the past with over 500,00kms of African gravel roads. I could never claim that everything was mint on it but durability is certainly good... sold for $10,000 so can't argue with that. IIRC we did an engine overhaul within the half million kms though. |

There is one in OZ that was used to escort the road trains back & forth across the outback, it did one million miles with no mechanical failures bar routine servicing, Toyota now have it in a museum. |

I know of a couple of highways agency LC3s that did 283,000 miles before they sold them on. _________________ Tommo

Tommo, you forgot to mention that they were just under 3 years old at that stage.
A good mileage but the engines never stopped running because all the flashing lights would have slaughtered the batteries.
I can't imagine what the engine hours were but your talking probably 20 hours a day, 7 days a week minus a couple of weeks each year for servicing. _________________ Les
