Greetings :my first time on the site!

Interested in your query about compass.
I've a Prado brought in from Singapore but somewhere along the line lost the owners instructions. Compass now stuck due to flat battery.
I did buy an Australian maual but it doesn't give any compass info.
Could you help with either the compass instructions or the detail of the owners manual you bought that contained the info?

Cheers! (and thanks in anticipation!)

Hi Brian,

Im a bit of a Luddite so I cant scan the instructions for Compass recab, so here goes;

Stop vehicle on level ground.

Press both "arrow" buttons simultaneously.

Now push the "Up" arrow button. The compass should now begin to blink (flash!).

Within one minute of the "flashing" starting, drive the vehicle around in a 360 degree circle.

When you stop the compass should be calibrated.

There are various warnings about not doing this whilst in the middle lane of the M25! Very Happy, but I guess thats obvious!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

let me know if it works!

cheers

Rob

Many, many thanks Rob,
Razz Razz Razz

I'll try it in the next day or two; I'll let you know how I get on.

(if I haven't to use the M25 would a round-a-bout on the A19 do ??!!) Exclamation

Regards,

Rob,
I was thinking about the instructions !

Do I have to start with the vehicle facing a particular direction e.g. North ?

Not sure if this is the same as what you have, but it may be some help.
