Hi all I just joined up I have a 1999 VX Amazon with 120K on her and yes the TC is getting tight.
I read a lot of posts on here and there was talk about a washer can the TC be removed and the washer fixed is the repair really that simple. I know that you need four men two donkeys and a goat to get the gear box out but can the TC be fixed simply when out. Does anyone have any photos of the TC and the washer.
Many thanks. |

The washer that needs fixing is probably internal to the torque converter. If that's correct then the TC has to be cut open to repair / recondition it. I guess none of the views so far, me included, were by people who have a definate answer for you. _________________ Jon m0zxj

You should be able to find somewhere that will recondition your existing torque converter. That's usually the cheapest option. _________________ Jon m0zxj
