Hi all I just joined up I have a 1999 VX Amazon with 120K on her and yes the TC is getting tight.

I read a lot of posts on here and there was talk about a washer can the TC be removed and the washer fixed is the repair really that simple. I know that you need four men two donkeys and a goat to get the gear box out but can the TC be fixed simply when out. Does anyone have any photos of the TC and the washer.

Many thanks.

33 Views and no replies yet? Seems strange.

The washer that needs fixing is probably internal to the torque converter. If that's correct then the TC has to be cut open to repair / recondition it. I guess none of the views so far, me included, were by people who have a definate answer for you.

You should be able to find somewhere that will recondition your existing torque converter. That's usually the cheapest option.
