Hello, Came to a noisy stop today in our 1999 Amazon, Turns out to be stripped splines on the outer driveshaft.

What I need is an easy way to remove the shaft please, got the hub/disc off.

Also obviousley need new or re-con shaft, Any ideas???

Thanks in advance

Are we talking about the front IFS drive shaft?

Six weeks ago I ground to a halt in mine had to lock the centre diff (not recommended but needs must) to get back.
Splines gone in the stub shaft due to catastrophic wheel bearing failure.
I bought a complete unit with everything ie disk stub suspension arm and driveshaft from a 1999 damaged unit simple fit just pushes into the front diff just makesure you UNPLUG the ABS wire from the donor I cut it and had to strip the old and new units to swap the ABS sensor out. I gave £300 for the parts.

Sorry I waffled on there if its the front driveshaft there is a BIG circular weight (a balancer I think) near the diff I used a jemmy bar about 4ft long a good pry and the shafr slips out of the diff.
