Looks like for most of them you need a torrent program to download.
then to read you need WinZIP or similar.

the best torrent program IMO is utorrent.   get it free from www.utorrent.com

the ones with a floppy disc icon beside them are direct downloads, so there should be no prob there.

the ones with a pawprint icon are not actually files but bittorrent* links.  that means you'll need a bittorrent client to download them.  i use transmission [mac & linux only - if you're on a PC, you'll have to find an equivalent]

hope that helps.

------------------------

CAUTION - boring techno-blurb:

* when you click to download a bittorrent link, that's all you're downloading -  a special kind of link which your bittorrent client programme then uses to find the actual file and download it.  so if you havenae got a bittorrent client installed and you click on one of those links, your comp will just throw up a "what the *beeb* is this?" type error, as it willnae know what to do with the file.

once you've installed a bittorrent client however, whenever you click on one of those links, your browser should recognise it as a bittorrent link and automatically open your bittorrent client to begin downloading it.

also bittorrent is a peer-to-peer network, which means that you're not downloading the file directly off a site on the internet, but sharing it off other people who have that file and are connected to the bittorrent network at the time - and they in turn, will be sharing the file off you as well, while you're connected.  it's a bit like a big hippy love-in, where everyone passes the spliff file round the intarwebs.

this has two consequences:

1: if loads of people are 'bittorrenting' and sharing that file at the same time, you can get a really fast download speed, as access to the file is being provided by so many people at once.  on the other hand, if no-one else happens to be sharing that file at the time you're logged on to bittorrent, there willnae be anyone to download it from, so  your bittorrent programme will just sit there, waiting for someone to come online who's sharing that file.  in these cases, you might have to wait a day or two until the file begins to download.  so dinnae worry if it disnae start downloading straight away.  [more annoying is when it gets to about 99% downloaded and then everyone with a copy logs out off bittorrent and you're left stuck with 1% left to download!].

2: because bittorrent allows people to share files amongst themselves, it's used to pass all manner of stuff around the web - ranging from [as in this case] copyrighted files, to movies, to software... and beyond.  therefore some ISPs can get a bit *beep* with you, if they see you're using it a lot, as they assume you're up to no good.  you should be OK, just downloading the odd manual or whatever, every now and then, but if you start using it all the time to download massive files, you might get a sniffy email off your ISP, telling you to stop using so much bandwidth.]

PS - thanks sweary filter for protecting all the children who come on this forum to find out information about stripping down their toyota landcruiser gearboxes from having to see that i tried to write the words 'f-e-c-k' and 'a-r-s-e-y'
