The philips head screw that enables you adjust the headlamp assembly upwards or downwards has come adrift from whatever it's connected to on the headlamp assembly. Now when it's screwed, the headlamp goes neither up nor down. The screw has lost contact with the headlamp.
Will it be necessary to pull the entire headlamp assembly from the vehicle to reconnect the thread to the light unit? Just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem already, and can recommend a quick fix. Removal of the headlamp looks like a lengthy process.
Cheers, Fred. _________________ Frederick (London SW15)

Fred.
Yes i think it will need to come out and no it's not that lengthy an operation to remove the light however it is made much easier by removing the batteries to give you access. You need to take out the side light units as well. As I recall there are 4x10mm bolts to remove and the plugs from the back and thats it, should take you no longer than 15 minutes. _________________ 1999 Land Cruiser Amazon VX Active 4.2TD Auto
