Hi All,

Sure this is a simple question, but have been having difficulty finding an answer and any help greatly appreciated! Very Happy

I currently have 17" alloy wheels on a a 90 SWB Colorado, they came with the car when I bought it a couple of years ago.  The tire on the 17" alloys is 275/60/R17. I am having difficulty finding some decent tires in this exact size.

My question is, am I able to put any 17" tires on these rims or do they have to be exactly 275/60 R17?  For example I have found some decent ones online that 275/55 R17, would these fit?

Many thanks,
Rich

They should fit fine Rich but they would be slightly smaller than your current tyres - I'll do you a comparison tomorrow from the office if you like...

IIRC, the first figure is the width of the tyre tread (275) & the second figure (55) equates to the depth of the sidewall vs the tyre width & wheel diameter.

Throw some pics up of your truck - I'd like to see 17's on a Colorado  Cool

We need to know the rim width on the wheel.

This should be marked on the wheel.
