Hi Guys
Does the fuel tank need to be removed to change the fuel pump. 3 ltr Diesel Auto 1997 Colorado?

I didn't think that they had a pump inside the tank, but maybe I'm wrong.

Hi Andy
Thanks for the reply.
My LC is almost 200K miles.  It is running very well at the moment.
I was just wondering about the fuel system. I have changed the diesel filter a couple of years ago.

I would like to buy a workshop manual for it.

Regards

Paul

There is no fuel pump in the tank. It works by suction, kind of if you drink from straw and hold the end, the liquid will stay. If you are having starting issue, worth checking for fuel pipe pin hole leak or corrosion causing air to enter the line.

Hi Areoelastic.

Yes you are correct my new manual states that the suction pump is part of the main Diesel pump. Only the fuel sender in the tank.

Paul
